Cha Cha

Cha Cha came from a form of Mambo called Triple Mambo. The artists of the time slowed Mambo down and inserted a triple step into the dance. Cha Cha then became the slower version of Mambo.

Cha Cha hit the United Stated in the 1950's, creating a dance craze in its wake. Cha Cha is done to 4/4 time music, having a characteristic "cha-cha-cha" that is on the 4&1. The dance is very fun, exciting and flirtatious, expressing Cuban motion througout.
