Classes

Intro to Ballroom Intro to Ballroom is a class that will cover four of the six core ballroom dances. Over four lessons once a week we will cover Swing, Waltz, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Rumba, or Tango. Which four will be determined by the class and we will be spending one week on each dance. Through this course you will get a taste of each dance covered and learn just enough to hold you own on a floor. Keep in mind this class is more of a sampler class, find out what you like and progress from there. Cost is $40.00 a person.

American Smooth will cover the three core American Ballroom style smooth dances, which are Waltz, Foxtrot, and Tango. Classes will be held once a week for four weeks. In this class we will be working on all of the dances simultaneously and focus on form and style as well as the figures. Please come prepared to rotate. Cost is $40.00 a person.

American Rhythm will cover the three core American Ballroom style rhythm dances, which are East Coast Swing, Rumba, and Cha Cha. Classes will be held once a week for four weeks. In this class we will be working on all of the dances simultaneously and focus on form and style as well as the figures. Please come prepared to rotate. Cost is $40.00 a person.

Lindy 101 is the first class in a long series of available lindy classes. This class will intro the dance of Lindy Hop which is the granddaddy of swing dances. Typically it's not a beginners dance, but this class will accommodate those with no previous experience. It's a high energy and challenging dance, but very fun. Classes will meet once a week for four weeks. Please come prepare to rotate. Cost is $40.00 a person.

Lindy 102 is next class in the lindy line up. It's still at a beginning level but rather than the most basic concepts we will move towards more intermediate moves. The class will move a little faster and we'll be teaching several new steps. Please come prepared to rotate partners and to be challenged. By the end of this class you should be hopelessly hooked on the lindy.

West Coast Swing once called “sophisticated swing” is a stylistic form of swing dancing that can be done to a wide variety of modern music. This is an intro course geared towards beginners. Classes will meet once a week for four weeks. Please come prepared to rotate. Cost is $40.00 a person.

Private lessons are always available upon request. Typically the student will be taught by the instructor of the opposite gender. In the case of a couple either of the instructors are available. Joel and Caitlyn can also teach privates together upon request. Private lessons are a great way to learn fast and of high quality. Joel and Caitlyn are prepared to teach any of the core ballroom dances or lindy hop. Cost is $40 an hour for one instructor or $60 for two instructors. Same price applies for singles or couples.
